GEORGE WAS A MEMBER OF OUR ORLANDO MOTHER
CHAPTER. HE PROBATED HARD, AS DID ALL ORLANDO
PROBATES BACK THEN, AND IT WAS THE PROUDEST DAY
OF HIS LIFE WHEN HE WAS FINALLY VOTED IN AS A FULL
PATCHED WARLOCK.  BROTHER GEORGE WAS YOUNG,
EAGER AND VERY ENERGETIC. HE WAS ONE OF THE
FIRST TO JUMP UP AND PROVE HIS LOYALTY WHEN
EVER THE SITUATION CALLED FOR IT AND IN THOSE
EARLY DAYS, THAT TYPE OF SITUATION CAME MUCH
TOO OFTEN. WE HAD BEEN PUSHED INTO AN ON GOING
TURF WAR WITH ANOTHER WELL KNOWN MOTORCYCLE
CLUB IN FLORIDA FOR A LITTLE OVER A DECADE. BUT
BY THE MID 80s IT SEEMED LIKE THINGS WERE QUIETING
DOWN BETWEEN US, WITH MOST OF OUR RANDOM AND
SMALL ENCOUNTERS WITH THEM  HAD TURNED MOSTLY
TO JUST UGLY LOOKS AND LOW KEYED GRUMBLING.  IN
MARCH OF 1987, OUR FLORIDA CHAPTERS DECIDED TO
ATTEND A MOTORCYCLE RODEO IN TAMPA, WHICH WAS
SPONSORED BY EASYRIDERS MAGAZINE. WE HADN'T
BEEN THERE LONG WHEN WE CAME FACE TO FACE
WITH A LARGE GROUP OF OUR OLD RIVALS. AT FIRST IT
JUST SEEMED LIKE A MEXICAN STANDOFF, WITH BOTH
SIDES KEEPING THEIR DISTANCE. BUT ONE LOW KEYED
REMARK LED TO ANOTHER LOUDER RESPONCE, UNTIL,
ALMOST WITHOUT WARNING BOTH GROUPS CHARGED
CRASHING TOGETHER LIKE A BATTLE SCENE FROM AN
OLD EPIC WAR MOVIE. THE FEDS WHO WERE THERE IN
FORCE AND UNDERCOVER IN THE CROWDS, HELD BACK
ON BREAKING UP THE FIGHT, LATER SMIRKING THAT
THEY WERE HOPING WE WOULD KILL EACH OTHER OFF,
CAME CHARGING IN WITH THEIR AUTOMATIC WEAPONS
DRAWN. AFTER BOTH SIDES WERE SEPARATED, THERE
ON THE GROUND LAID OUR BROTHER GEORGE, DYING
OF SEVERAL STAB WOUNDS. HE DIED DEFENDING OUR
BROTHERHOOD. RIDE IN PEACE BROTHER, WE MISS YOU.
       WARLOCK FOREVER FOREVER WARLOCK!
