WFFW
DENNIS "MOUSE" SIEBERT, ALSO KNOWN AS DENNY,
WAS ONE OF OUR ORIGINAL 13 NAVY BROTHERS WHO
FORMED THE WARLOCKS MOTORCYCLE CLUB ON THE
ATTACK CARRIER USS SHANGRI-LA, FEBRUARY 1967.
MOUSE WAS GIVEN THIS KNICK-NAME BY HIS FELLOW
NAVY BROTHERS, BECAUSE THEIR NEW INQUISITIVE
BROTHER SEEMED TO BE EVERYWHERE AND KNEW
ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED ABOARD THE
SHANG, ALWAYS SCURRYING ABOUT "JUST LIKE A
LITTLE MOUSE" NO MATTER WHAT WENT ON, YOU
COULD ASK MOUSE SIEBERT AND HE KNEW ABOUT IT.
WEARING HIS FAMILIAR LEATHER AVIATORS HAT,
WHICH HE HAD PAINTED YELLOW AND HAD MOUSE
SCROLLED ACROSS THE FRONT IN BLACK LETTERS,
MOUSE BECAME PART OF THE FIRST JACKSONVILLE
CHAPTER, THAT WAS FOUNDED IN EARLY JULY 1967.
IN SEPTEMBER OF THIS SAME YEAR AS MOUSE WAS
NEARING THE END OF HIS MILITARY COMMITMENT, HE
AND ANOTHER OF OUR FOUNDING BROTHERS, WERE
BUSTED FOR MARIJUANA. MOUSE WOULD END UP
SPENDING THE LAST MONTH OF HIS TOUR IN A NAVY
BRIG. AFTER BEING RELEASE FROM UNCLE SAM, HE
TRAVELED OVER TO CALIFORNIA WHERE HE BEGAN A
CAREER DRIVING 18 WHEELERS. EVENTUALLY HE HAD
PUT HIS NAVY DAYS BEHIND HIM, FIGURING THE CLUB
HE HELPED CREATE WAS JUST AN OLD MEMORY TO
NOT ONLY HIMSELF BUT TO HIS OLD NAVY BROTHERS,
ONCE THEY ALL RETURNED TO THEIR CIVILIAN LIVES.
IN 2004 MOUSE DECIDED TO MOVE BACK TO FLORIDA.
ONCE HE GOT SETTLED, HE HAD STOPPED IN A LOCAL
BAR NEAR MELBOURNE AND WHILE HE WAS IN THE
BATHROOM HE NOTICED THE LETTERS "W F F W" HAD
BEEN SCROLLED ON THE WALL. FIRST THINKING IT
HAD TO BE A COINCIDENCE, HIS CURIOSITY MADE HIM
ASK THE BARMAID IF SHE MIGHT KNOW WHAT THESE
LETTERS STOOD FOR. SHE TOLD HIM AND SAID THAT
THERE WERE WARLOCKS ALL OVER THE AREA & HE
COULD EVEN LOOK US UP ON ANY OF OUR WEBSITES.
AFTER GOING STRAIGHT HOME AND CONFIRMING
THIS UNEXPECTED REALITY, MOUSE IMMEDIATELY
CONTACTED ONE OF OUR WEBMASTERS, WHO AFTER
E-MAIL AND PHONE COMMUNICATIONS, INVITED THIS
OLD BROTHER TO ATTEND SOME OF OUR FLORIDA
CHAPTERS' UPCOMING PARTIES. WITHIN MONTHS
MOUSE HAD REJOINED THE VERY CLUB HE HELPED
CREATE THOSE MANY YEARS AGO AND BECAME A
PROUD BROTHER IN OUR MELBOURNE FLA CHAPTER.
OUR BROTHER MOUSE WAS PLAGUED WITH CANCER,
AND HAD BEEN DEALING WITH IT FOR SOME YEARS
AND THOUGHT HE HAD FINALLY OVERCOME IT. BUT IT
WOULD EVENTUALLY FLARED BACK UP AND STARTED
GETTING THE BEST OF OUR POOR BROTHER, WHO AT
FIRST WANTED TO KEEP HIS ILLNESS BETWEEN ONLY
A FEW OF OUR BROTHERS, NOT WANTING TO ALARM
ANYONE AND THINKING HE COULD AGAIN OVERCOME
IT. BUT HIS CONDITION WOULD SOON BECAME VERY
OBVIOUS AS HIS HEALTH GOT WORSE. OUR BROTHER
MOUSE WAS FINALLY HOSPITALIZED ON JUNE 6, 2007.
THE DOCTORS INFORMED US THAT HIS DAYS WERE
NUMBERED. IN JULY IT WAS DECIDED THAT WE MOVE
MOUSE TO A HOSPICE HOUSE WHERE HIS CARE AND
VISITATION WERE BETTER SUITED. HIS REMAINING
DAYS WERE FILLED WITH BROTHERS WHO CALLED
AND VISITED HIM DAILY LETTING HIM KNOW THAT HE
WAS LOVED AND CARED ABOUT. TUESDAY AUGUST 7,
2007, OUR ENTIRE NATION WAS INFORMED THAT OUR
OLD BROTHER HAD PASSED AWAY EARLIER THAT
MORNING. BROTHER MOUSE WAS CREMATED AND HIS
ASHES SCATTERED IN THE OCEAN "BORN AT SEA
BURIED AT SEA". NOW IN OUR FREE BIRD CHAPTER,
BROTHER MOUSE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED,
NOT ONLY FOR BEING ONE OF OUR ORIGINAL 13 NAVY
FOUNDERS, BUT FOR THE BROTHER HE WAS & WILL
ALWAYS BE. RIDE IN PEACE BROTHER, WE MISS YOU.
